The Way Has Begun

The Camino de Santiago, otherwise known as "The Way of Saint James", or simply "The Way"

For a couple thousand years , pilgrims have been making the journey, each for their own reason.  Early pilgrims made the journey as penance or for healing , others in an attempt to create a spiritual connection with Saint James who is believed to be buried in the Santiago de Compostela Cathedral.
Today 2000 years later, every year thousands continue to make that 800 km (500 mile) journey . A journey that tests and challenges  them spiritually, physically, and emotionally .
