Day one

We had a wonderful first day of walking We traveled along the Duro River heading north. Our path soon took us along the ocean beach. At the end of our walk John met us at a cafe for a final cup of coffee and a ride back to the apartment we’re staying at in Porto. Our day was filled with joy, sunshine, interesting people and beauty.

 

Morning has broken

We all slept well, and are up at 7 for breakfast and getting ready to head to the cathedral to get the the pilgrims passports.  Then the ladies will start walking .

 It's a beautiful day in Lisbon as Peggy awaits the arrival of the rest of the team .. a day of sight seeing, resting and a short river cruise .. the rest of us on on our way to the airport now and will meet up with Peg in the airport at noon . 

The first of the team is off.

Peg is on her way .  We will see you in Lisbon soon , have a great flight .

Final count down

We were excited to get together to make some plans and preparations.. Getting to the airport at this end, meeting up with Peg, and what to do if flights are delayed.   It was a great visit , we are all so excited .
